Wholeheartedly ladies!!!!! Let me start off by saying I MISSED Y'ALL SO MUCH!!! I'm sorry for being MIA, but I think I have a good excuse;) If you're reading this I'm sure you've heard the news but just incase: I got married July 6th!!! It was so nice taking a step back during this season, but man oh man am I glad to be back! That being said, I wanted my first blog back to be a little update on my life, all things the wedding, and also just wanted to brag on how much Jesus showed up in all the things, so let's get into it!
For those of y'all who don't know, Mitchell and I were high school sweethearts and our engagement was two years long. So we had plentyyyy of time to plan and prepare for the wedding. Mitchell and I prayed often for our wedding day and the thing that kept coming up was that we wanted Jesus to be known. We have so many people in both of our lives that don't know The Lord and we knew that this would be the only time in our lives that we would have everyone in one place. We had one chance to make sure that everyone we love had the chance to hear the gospel and get a glimpse of the love of The Lord. So that's what we prayed for! Now, I'm not going to lie, I prayed a lot of selfish prayers too. I prayed that it wouldn't rain....it did. I prayed that every little detail I had planned would happen without a hitch....they didn't. I even prayed that all of the groomsmen would remember every part of the suit....they didn't lol. But none of that mattered, the only prayer that mattered that day is that Jesus would make himself known. And won't he do it! I have never felt the presence of The Holy Spirit so evidently. He showed up in every little detail of the day and especially in the ceremony. If you've heard the song "Fresh Wind" by Hillsong that is exactly what the ceremony felt like to Mitchell and I. The best way I know how to describe what the room felt like was a fresh wind of The Holy Spirit rushing in. Matthew 18:20 says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them." Thank you Jesus for that promise! I am forever in awe on how above and beyond Jesus went in answering that prayer!
I know a lot of you are not in the same season of me. A lot of you are in high school and college so this blog might not feel very applicable, but I want to encourage you to look a little deeper. This wasn't a story of "oh look how great my wedding was!" This was a testimony of how intentional our God is and how he answers prayer! I prayed a lot of selfish, small prayers that The Lord knew wouldn't matter in the end. The Lord knew it wouldn't matter if it rained on the wedding day, or if the flowers were the right color. He answered the big one. He showed up for our lost family and friends. He made himself known. I want you to know that our God cares about the small details and our desires, but he is big enough to answer the big prayers. He wants us to pray BOLDLY! He wants us to pray big prayers and believe that he is big enough to do it! Ephesians 3:12 says, "In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." We have full access to the thrown. We've been given permission to present our requests to God. So what do you need to start praying for? The salvation of that one friend that you think is way too far gone? The reconciliation of your relationship with you mom or dad who hurt you? No prayer is too big for our God, just start praying! He will start something new.

Oh Mallory, nothing more could be better said or expected or prayed for then that God would be glorified through your wedding for the lost friends and family. You won’t remember the rain or the sunshine that you will remember the souls that have been reached your example testimony through all eternity. You and Mitchell are now together as one and your ministry will be greater now more than ever the Lord continue to bless you. We sure love you.
I loved looking through your wedding pictures and how God was definitely the center of all of it. How you celebrated your lives by putting him first.
